What does "Going Digital" Mean?

Find all the answers to the frequently asked questions about our upcoming change.

Beginning February 19, 2025, the weekly Sunset Foods flyer will no longer be in the Local Values packet or delivered with Tribune subscriptions.

We didn’t make this decision lightly, read on to learn about the many reasons we made this choice.

Why is Sunset Foods not going to print and distribute the printed weekly circular after February 19, 2025?

  • Sunset Foods wants to invest in our customers. This shift to digital gives us space to showcase MORE! Giving our customers MORE items on sale, MORE insight into the brands we carry, and MORE opportunities to save.
  • Distribution is already being impacted. Tribune and its parent company, Vericast eliminated or reduced distribution of the Local Value packet, which contained our ad, in multiple zip codes surrounding our stores, including much of Highland Park.
  • Environmental Impact. Printing over one hundred thousand flyers each week enormously impacts our environment. As part of a larger goal for Sunset Foods in 2025, including offering more reusable bag selections and our continued efforts to improve packaging in our stores, reducing this level of paper waste is a win for our sustainability goals.
