Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a Maine Lobster so special?
Maine Lobsters are renowned for their sweet, tender meat, a result of the cold, clean waters of the Gulf of Maine. The hard shell of a Maine lobster ensures a firmer, meatier texture compared to other varieties.

Are Maine Lobsters Sustainable?
Yes, the Maine lobster industry is a model of a well-managed fishery, with strict regulations on trap limits and size requirements to ensure the lobster population remains healthy for generations to come.

Do I have to pre-pay online?
Yes, all online pre-orders must be prepaid to reserve your lobsters.

Can Sunset cook my lobster?
Yes, we will happily steam your lobster at no extra charge. However, due to USDA regulations, we cannot crack the lobster shells for you, so be sure to buy your lobster cracking tools when you pick up your order!
